With each new year, pundits come out with predictions and resolutions. My personal observation is that things are getting worse. When the "New Administration" came into Washington, DC a year ago with the famous motto of "Hope and Change," voters had expectations of something better. At this point, most people are just hoping to survive the next few years because the only changes have been: Higher Unemployment, Higher Deficits, Higher Taxes, Higher Costs, More Intrusive Government and More Corruption. I am NOT PLEASED with the direction that our federal government is taking us and neither are most the people I meet. We have been LIED TO and Manipulated. Our elected officials, and I am talking mostly about Democrats now, have ignored common sense and have continued to ram legislation down our throats. The Stimulus was a complete waste of taxpayer money and has done little or nothing to improve the economy. The subsidies of giant banks through TARP and the takeover of General Motors have both been major disasters. All of these actions have made the economy WORSE instead of better.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are two of the most egregious examples of political corruption I have ever witnessed. It did not begin recently. It began during the Clinton administration when a certain Franklin Raines was brought in as CEO to "solve problems." He not only made the problems much worse, but he also approved blatant cheating on the accounting so that he could receive huge bonuses before he could retire. His retirement came mere days before he most likely would have been indicted for fraud. The so called "Housing Bubble" that occurred in 2009 did not happen overnight. It had been brewing for years. George W. Bush and many Republicans actually tried, although clearly did not try hard enough, to investigate Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and yet they were rebuffed. George W certainly cannot escape criticism for supervising the SEC which clearly failed to do something about "Weapons of Financial Destruction" that ultmately brought down the market and the entire global economy.

There was plenty of blame to go around. Our new team of Barack H. Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have just made things much, much WORSE !!!

They, of course, were aided and abetted by the likes of Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and a cast of thousands, both elected officials and contributors.

This has infuriated me so much that I have decided to offer some Alternative Solutions to Help our Country. These are obviously NOT Politically Correct. . . . See if I care.

Step 1. Discourage illegal immigration through graphic media

This idea is not new. I heard it from a legal immigrant from the Philippines many years ago. He said that all we have to do is use special effects and typical Hollywood movie techniques to scare people. He explained this very clearly as a script.

Show Americans lined up along the border with weapons. (Not Border Patrol, just average people with guns)
Show immigrants contemplating the idea of crossing the border illegally
Show Americans loading their weapons and laying in wait
Show immigrants crawling under a fence or swimming
Show American opening fire with automatic weapons
Show immigrants being splattered with bullets and blood pouring out (via special effects)

The next part was easy: Show this on television and on the internet.

Even though no one was actually shot at, or killed, or even injured; the video will tell a gruesome story. Potential illegal immigrants would get the message.

That same script could be easily be expanded. Instead of sitting inside a machine-gun nest, or in a guard tower, the gun-wielding Americans could be riding in helicopters and armed with miniguns. The following video is a graphic portrayal of the firepower. All that needs to be done is to show some illegal immigrants crawling through the desert and being shot while fake blood packets are exploding under their clothing.

This type of Script could be very Effective.

Let's face it, one thing that the United States can do very well, and it is constantly proven by the huge export value of Hollywood movies, is present a story with special effects. There are many ways to achieve this. Some involve elaborate computer generated images and some are just old fashioned filming tricks. The main point is that Americans love to watch this sort of thing and so do foreign audiences. Spectacular violence is certainly part of the NFL and NASCAR. If there were no crushing hits and no crashes, how many would watch ? Look at all the heroes from John Wayne to Clint Eastwood to Sylvester Stallone to Batman, Ironman and all the rest. Their main attraction is triumph over evil through violence.

This same concept can easily be used for Travel shows. American tourists can be shown paying for the opportunity to kill terrorists, such as the images shown below.

Shoot a Somali Pirate Cruises

Step 2. Discourage Terrorists from Flying on Airlines

Once again, we can rely upon skilled stunt men or just ordinary guys who fall out of airplanes with no parachutes - for fun.

We merely need a little better script showing the guy wearing a turban and trying to detonate his shoe, or light his underwear on fire. People on the plane would grab the would-be terrorist, shove a pork sandwich down his throat, and then throw him off the plane. It may not be very polite, but the message would clearly get through.

Step 3. Discourage pandering politicians from wasting our hard earned tax money and running huge deficits

The Tea Parties had the right idea. They were just too polite. Next time you want to send your favorite politician an email, include a link to this clip:

It shows a true story about politicians in Congress who were shot by people in the visitors gallery because the proposed legislation was unfair.

You might ask the Question:

How will this help our economy ?

The answer is simple. When people are busy creating movies, TV shows and online videos about Americans not putting up with all the corruption in our federal government, the businesses who advertise will want to sponsor the most popular ones. Before long, capitalism will again thrive because a huge new industry has been created of making programs about Americans being defiant. The whole world will become so curious about all the activity that they will buy from the United States. We can turn our trade deficit around in no time.

Step 4. Keep selling more stuff that is made here in the USA

Right now, other countries are buying raw materials from us because the dollar has gone down in value. The problem is that they buy stuff like wheat because they cannot grow their own crops. We need to be selling them Cheetos and Lucky Charms and Twinkies and frozen waffles and microwave dinners. They need to learn to eat processed foods like we do instead of using wheat to make their own bread.

Step 5. We need to get them hooked on Social Networking like Twitter and Facebook

These other countries have to stop working like slaves for pennies an hour. They need to learn how to waste time like Americans. They need to download more hip-hop to their MP3 players, and hang around the malls wearing baggy jeans, and play video games all day. How can these other countries expect to become developed if they spend all their time foraging for food, or working in sweatshops ?

We have plenty of rappers who want to sell their home grown downloads via iTunes. We need to empower the younger generation of the world with enough credit cards and wireless connectivity so that our home-boys can thrive in the marketplace.

And Finally, we need to pay more attention to these politicians running for office.

Some of these clowns have no experience, have all their school and college transcripts hidden and hire idiots to be on their staff to help them.

Jan. 2009 - How does it feel to be a suspect ?

The Department of Homeland Security, which is part of the Federal Government, has issued a report to help law enforcement identify people who are suspected of becoming threats to our country. (Click this link to read it.) The head of the Department, Janet Napolitano, stands by the report.

Here are some excepts from the report: " Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration. "

" Many rightwing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms ownership and use. Rightwing extremists are increasingly galvanized by these concerns and leverage them as drivers for recruitment. "

All of that is bad enough, but it gets worse:

" DHS/I&A assesses that rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat. These skills and knowledge have the potential to boost the capabilities of extremists including lone wolves or small terrorist cells to carry out violence. The willingness of a small percentage of military personnel to join extremist groups during the 1990s because they were disgruntled, disillusioned, or suffering from the psychological effects of war is being replicated today. "

THAT is what really pisses me off. Veterans are being characterized as a threat to our country. Veterans, who have volunteered to defend our country are being characterized as a threat. Veterans who have put themselves in harm's way and who have sacrificed greatly, along with their families, to protect this country from terrorists, are now being characterized as a threat.

Fill in the blank: This is _________ _________ ! (The politically correct answer is: This is totally preposterous !)

How in the _____ (hell), can this administration describe veterans as suspects ? Is that because veterans may not agree with:

Giving away billions of dollars to fat-cat investment bankers
Giving away billions of dollars to liberal agenda pseudo government socialist programs
Giving away billions of dollars to a "Volunteer Program" that is really mandatory service for young people to become brainwashed as liberals
Giving away billions of dollars to stimulate the economy when all it will do support insane liberal groups like ACORN and put everyone else in huge debt forever
Giving away billions of dollars to handicap business by creating a stupid "Cap and Trade" program that will only serve to increase costs of everything
Giving away billions of dollars to political cronies who have already shown complete disregard for the American tax payer by ignoring normal accounting procedures and any concept of ethics

Perhaps by now it has become apparent that veterans, taxpayers and anyone who beleves in the right to own guns is not held in such high regard by the current administration. That really pisses me off.

Not a day goes by that the administration has not:

Wasted taxpayer money
Encroached upon our Constitutional liberties
Inflicted addition burdens on our families, our businesses and our way of life
Made our country less secure, less capable, less respected and less able to deal with world events

It was not that long ago when serving in the military was considered valuable experience to become a political leader. It was not that long ago that more than 50% of the members of Congress had some military experience.

Not looking very good is it ? Well, neither is the Federal Deficit (how about $12 trillion and increasing daily ?). Not impressed with that - Check the graph.

Careful interpretation would reveal that we are in very deep trouble. Some would argue that the United States is doomed. The politicians have sold us out to the devil. WE are our own worst enemy. It might look rather dismal, . . . . . .

However, we have been through trouble before and hope is not lost.

It will take enormous effort to change direction, and the next opportunity for that is November 2010. That is when the next election for Congress will be held. It is important.

This commentary will neither endorse, nor recommend any candidates. This commentary merely suggests a careful review of the issues, and a strong encouragement to VOTE (wisely).

Try to be an Educated Voter and not just someone who always votes for the same party all the time just because they promise you everything.
